Community and Emergency Services Training Academy @ Millville Rescue Squad (CESTA) began in February of 2003. The first class held was an EMT class consisting of 15 students. Since then, CESTA runs at least one spring EMT class and one fall EMT class, along with occasional summer classes. CESTA also runs many other classes, including CORE and CPR classes.
Currently CESTA has 40 students enrolled in our evening classes. We have 10 certified instructors and approximately 20 aides to teach these courses. Throughout one year, there are at least 3 CORE classes held, along with other elective classes and community classes, such as CPR and First Aid. CESTA continues to grow and helps to provide our community with only the best trained professionals who help keep the community safe.
